Each month, TCSC engages with a local mission project to support our community.

A flyer with a mission opportunity to support Lowcountry Food Bank by donating food items in December and January. It lists needed items such as canned tuna, fruit in water or juice, low sodium canned vegetables, peanut butter, rice, and whole grain cereal or pasta. Instructions are provided to bring food to church on Sundays in December or January and to drop donations off at the front pew before or after worship. The flyer has illustrations of three people holding large red hearts.

Ongoing Mission Project: Snack stock

Part of our ongoing mission to support Citadel Cadets involves stocking hospitality spaces where students can relax, grab a snack, and engage with ministry leaders. Help us stock these spaces by grabbing individually wrapped snacks and bringing them to Sunday worship or to one of the Summerall Chapel offices.

TCSC is building connections with churches in Rwanda. As The Citadel forms an academic relationship with East African Christian College in Kigali, Rwanda, we have been blessed to connect with the Anglican Church of Rwanda through prayer and additional support. In December 2024, TCSC raised funds to support ongoing construction efforts at a local Anglican Church, allowing them to connect water to their building per government standards so that they can reopen their church for worship. A team of students on a study abroad trip led by Chaplain Meadows and assisted by Pastor Aly visited the church and met with Pastor Martin to learn more about their worship and pray for their community. We are so excited to continue growing this mission as we pray for and partner with our brothers and sisters in Rwanda!
